We’ve got a lot of big news for The Corduroy Road happening over the next 3 months.
First and foremost, we are releasing Live At the 40 Watt on April 2nd here in Athens Georgia at the 40 Watt Club. We’ll be joined by Josh Roberts and the Hinges as well as the ever so wonderful gals from Hope for Agoldensummer. We are very excited about finally releasing a live album!
We’ll be selling it for only $5 at the show and it’ll be $10 after that. Online purchase and shipping will be able from www.athensmusic.net this week, as well as other digital outlets (itunes, amazon, etc.) in the near future. Locally, its available at Wuxtry and Schoolkids Records.
Also at the show, we’ll have some limited numbered prints of the show poster for sale.
On another note, we’re announcing that The Corduroy Road will not be booking anymore shows after the current touring ends in July.
Over the past months, life has taken some of our members in other directions that, no doubt are much bigger than what we so humbly do on stage. Starting families, pursuing degrees and other careers have unfortunately meant losing band members, but very fortunately haven’t meant we’ve lost any friendships. With that said, we must bid you a warm adieu.
Please be sure to keep checking back on us though, every so often, as members will continue to play in other various capacities (Elijiah w/ the Jumpin’ Jesus Christers & other bands, Drew w/ some solo shows, John w/ Easter Island, and Brent w/Half Dozen Brass Band), and we’ll try to keep everyone apprised on those happenings.
