Just One Drop

Things here at the Corduroy Road have been quite busy.  On April 9th we celebrated the release of our new EP “Just One Drop.” It’s available now at athensmusic.net or cdbaby.com.  Ok, enough shameless self promotion.

down on the corner, out in the street...

Here we are pleasing passersby and infuriating buskers.

We played a pair of shows in Athens in conjunction with the release and both went well.  The first was an unplugged acoustic show outside Wuxtry Records in downtown Athens which was so much fun we’ve decided to make it a regular occurrence when we have a show in Athens.

Things really got going later on at our release party at the Melting Point.  It was a very special night for us, and we were proud to have our friends Delia Low open the show. As usual our Athens crowd was lively and fun and the celebratory atmosphere was heightened by guest appearances during our set.

John, Bill and me. Awesome.

Bill Mallonee joined us for a couple songs on harmonica and vocals, and John Keane sat in on pedal steel guitar for a few numbers as well. Even Ryan Kelly, owner of Mule Train Records joined in on the fun by playing some mandolin with us. At one point we had 8 people on stage. It was a far cry from a couple years ago when the band consisted of just Drew and me.

We’ve played about 45 shows so far this year and this week we’re going to log about 1300 miles on the road. Things are going to pick up even more in the next few months to prepare for the release of our full length record. See ya’ll out there…
